Datenverarbeitung und Beschäftigung : der Informationsbereich

Abstract

"Der durch die Informationstechnik bestimmte Beschäftigungswandel wird bei der traditionellen Sektorstruktur nicht deutlich, da Informationsverarbeitung in allen Sektoren, allerdings mit unterschiedlichem Gewicht, auftritt. Werden aber die Informationsberufe aus den traditionellen Sektoren herausgelöst, dann lassen sich massive Veränderungen erkennen. Heute sind etwa 40% der Erwerbstätigen in Informationsberufen tätig. Im primären Sektor sind dies lediglich 3%, im sekundären Sektor schon 23% und im tertiären Sektor 47% der Erwerbstätigen. Die Beschäftigung im Informationsbereich nimmt trotz der Anwendung der Informationstechnik weiter zu, allerdings zeichnen sich innerhalb der Informationsberufe Verschiebungen ab: Bei Informationsproduzenten und Informationsverarbeitern haben sich durchschnittliche Zunahmen ergeben, während die Zahl der Informationsverteiler stark zugenommen hat. Unterdurchschnittlich war die Zunahme in den Informations-Infrastrukturberufen." (Autorenreferat)
