Abstract

In dieser Arbeit werden wir zeigen, dass heute Fremdenverkehr und regionale Entwicklung in Griechenland nicht mehr gleichgesehen wird wie früher. Schnelles Wachstum des Tourismus im Zeitraum von 1990-2003, aber auch die allgemeine gesellschaftliche Struktur des Landes, führte zu einer neuen differenzierten Entwicklung in diesem Bereich. Kosten und Nutzen des Fremdenverkehrs für die regionale Wirtschaft sind weltweit von direktem Interesse, deshalb sprechen wir in diesem Bericht die Diskussionen rund um dieses Thema an.
