Abstract

La violencia laboral es un factor que dificulta la construcción de organizaciones saludables. Sin embargo, vivimos una paradoja organizativa; sabemos que su impacto es negativo para la empresa, sus miembros y la comunidad en general, pero se continúan potenciando organizaciones ‘tóxicas’ en las que se consienten y fomentan los comportamientos violentos. El proceso de influencia de la violencia laboral sobre la calidad productiva y el potencial humano de la empresa, aunque contemplado en la literatura, no se ha analizado con detalle en los estudios empíricos. El presente trabajo se centra en considerar las vías y estrategias (estructural, represiva, alienación y clásica) a través de las que se produce dicha influencia, considerando las diferencias entre las empresas de las regiones de Euskadi y Comunidad Valenciana (España). Los resultados obtenidos confirman que las estrategias violentas inciden sobre la calidad productiva y sobre el potencial humano de las empresas. Igualmente, muestran la existencia de diferencias significativas entre ambas regiones. La construcción de rganizaciones saludables pasa por adoptar un enfoque holístico que atienda a las vías y estrategias a través de las que se ejerce la violencia laboral.
