Abstract

Danmarks Havstrategi blev færdiggjort i efteråret 2012 som et led i implementeringen af EU’s havstrategidirektiv fra 2008, Naturstyrelsen (2013). Direktivet har til formål at opretholde eller skabe en såkaldt »god miljøtilstand« i alle EU’s havområder senest i 2020. Det bygger på en økosystemtilgang, idet man i stedet for at regulere miljøtilstanden ved hjælp af enkeltparametre, f.eks. niveauer for miljøfarlige stoffer, ønsker at regulere ud fra en mere holistisk tilgang til økosystemet. På baggrund af en analyse af tilstanden af de danske havområder er der opstillet mål for miljøtilstanden.
