Abstract

One of the most important developments in the last decades has been the discovery and study of the so called chaotic behavior in dynamic, non-linear systems. This research summarises some theoretical and practical applications of the Chaos Theory in various fields of the Business Administration. Studies related to Finances, Economyand Management are treated. The principIes and ideas derived from the Chaos Theory are useful skills to enhance the knowledge of complex systems. These concepts are dose to those from Open Systems Theory, the Complexity Paradigm and the Self-organized Systems. They represent an important shift of paradigm in the natural and social sciences: the overcome of the vision of the world deterministic and predictable, subordinate to universal and controlled rules.
