L’interscambio commerciale tra il mezzogiorno e il centro nord: struttura e meccanismi di propagazione degli shock
Abstract
In questo lavoro si esaminano le interdipendenze economiche tra le diverse aree geografiche del Paese, nel periodo 1995-2006, attraverso un modello di Input- Output multiregionale. I risultati mettono in luce che la domanda di beni rivolta al Mezzogiorno produce solo in parte effetti sull’economia locale, mentre si generano significativi incrementi dell’offerta proveniente dalle altre aree geografiche e dall’estero. Per esempio, nel 2006 un aumento di 100 euro della domanda finale interna del Mezzogiorno induceva un incremento complessivo della produzione di 169 euro, di cui 97 a beneficio della produzione locale e 52 del resto dell’Italia; lo stesso aumento nel Nord-Ovest attivava una produzione totale di circa 172 euro, di cui 114 nella stessa area e circa 35 nelle altre aree del Paese. La domanda finale interna che si genera nelle singole macro-aree produce nel Mezzogiorno un saldo commerciale interregionale negativo, mentre nel Nord-Ovest genera un surplus nelle transazioni commerciali con le altre macro-aree. La dipendenza dell’economia meridionale dall’offerta del Centro-Nord non mostra variazioni di rilievo nel periodo di analisi, mentre il Nord-Est e il Centro hanno aumentato gradualmente, nel tempo, il proprio livello di integrazione produttiva e commerciale con il Nord-Ovest. La minore apertura al commercio internazionale delle regioni centrali e meridionali le rende meno vulnerabili agli shock negativi della domanda mondiale.Download Info
