Abstract

L'economia delle imprese nei distretti italiani: redditivit?, dominanza e strategie differenziali (di Alessandro Nova) - ABSTRACT: The paper address the issue of the effects induced on firm profitability, performance dominance and strategic behaviour by belonging to an industrial district. After a short premise on industrial district economic theory, the research compares economic performance and strategies of district vis ? vis non-districts firms. The analysis achieves some relevant results about four major questions: do district firms obtain a higher economic performance than non-district ones? Does the district competitive mechanism lead to economically dominant firms? How much are district firms recognisable on the basis of specifically adopted strategies? Do exist specific value-creating strategies within the district areas?
