Pandemia e complessit?: esperienze regionali a confronto

Abstract

I policy-makers in tutto il mondo hanno mostrato un certo grado di impreparazione di fronte al Coronavirus, anche quelli dotati di imponenti sistemi sanitari. Il problema non e tanto nella mancanza di robustezza dei sistemi sanitari, quanto nella mancanza di un pensiero complesso. Il paper analizza alcune coordinate concettuali della complessita ed esamina come queste possono informare le strategie di risposta alla crisi pandemica. Esso mostra come le strategie che hanno funzionato appaiono informate a un pensiero complesso mentre quelle ispirate a un approccio riduzionista sembrerebbero associate a risultati fallimentari. In conclusione un appello a cercare nuove metafore che richiamino la complessita.
