L?emergenza diventa volano per l?intelligenza artificiale

Abstract

In queste settimane abbiamo visto svanire molte delle resistenze all?innovazione, forse nell?auspicio che tecnologie e approcci innovativi possano supportare i sistemi sanitari a colmare i gap di offerta e a mantenere alti standard di qualita nella lotta contro Covid-19. Tra le innovazioni apparentemente accelerate, a livello internazionale, si sottolinea come l?IA si sia tradotta in numerose applicazioni, per la prevenzione, la diagnosi, la cura, la ricerca farmacologica ed epidemiologica. L?articolo approfondisce, per ogni ambito, gli obiettivi perseguiti e abilitati dall?IA, facendo riferimento a interessanti esperienze internazionali. Si propongono infine alcune riflessioni sulla sostenibilita delle nuove soluzioni e sulle possibili implicazioni per il SSN.
