Abstract

Il Pandemic Influenza Preparedness (PIP) Framework rappresenta il primo - e finora unico - modello teorico di riferimento, sviluppato dall?Organizzazione Mondiale della Sanita, per fronteggiare una crisi pandemica su scala globale. L?obiettivo e quello di definire una linea di azione comune, che superi le peculiarita legate ai meccanismi di funzionamento di ciascun sistema sanitario, e garantire la condivisione dei risultati nella ricerca di un vaccino e di altri benefici. Ricostruendone la genesi e l?evoluzione, il presente articolo mira mettere in luce il potenziale contributo del PIP nella fase post-contenimento del Covid-19, quando il disordine interessera soprattutto la dimensione politico-economica. In assenza di un nuovo patto mondiale, il PIP potrebbe rappresentare una base di partenza da potenziare per affrontare le sfide future.
