Especialización y ventaja comparativa del sector citrícola en México: 1990-2018

Abstract

El presente trabajo tuvo como objetivo medir el nivel de especialización y competitividad del sec-tor citrícola en méxico durante 1990-2018. para tal efecto se calcularon el coeficiente de Localiza-ción (cl), el índice de Lafay (ilk) y el índice de Ventaja comercial revelada de las Exportaciones (ivcre) para el periodo. Los resultados obtenidos muestran que la citricultura es una actividad especializada y con altas tasas de crecimiento en las entidades de colima, nuevo León, Veracruz, Tamaulipas, San Luis potosí, yucatán, michoacán, campeche, oaxaca, Quintana roo y Tabasco. asimismo, se identificó que el sector estudiado cuenta con ventajas comparativas que posicionan al país como exportador neto de dichos cultivos a nivel internacional, teniendo como principal socio de sus exportaciones al mercado estadounidense.
