Incidencia de la certificación “Tesoros de México” sobre la ventaja competitiva de los hoteles

Abstract

En este trabajo se analiza la relación entre la implementación del certificado de calidad llamado “Tesoros de México” y sus efectos sobre la ventaja competitiva de hoteles boutique, desde la perspectiva de recursos y capacidades. El objetivo del estudio es identificar si dicha certificación genera ventaja competitiva en los hoteles certificados respecto a los homólogos sin certificación. Los datos se obtuvieron tras la aplicación de un cuestionario, los resultados se estimaron a partir de los modelos de ecuaciones estructurales, mínimos cuadrados generalizados, análisis factorial confirmatorio, y prueba de diferencia de medias. Concluyendo que la certificación “Tesoros de México” sí influye en la ventaja competitiva debiéndose, primero, a las decisiones ejercidas por el liderazgo directivo y, segundo, a las capacidades de las empresas para enfocar las prácticas de calidad relacionadas con los recursos intangibles y las competencias distintivas que poseen.
