Perfil de los trabajadores por género del sector turístico en México

Abstract

El interés de este trabajo es analizar las condiciones del mercado laboral del sector turístico en México, del 2005 y 2015. Este análisis nos permite determinar qué características diferencian a mujeres y hombres en el mercado laboral de dicho sector y por lo tanto, definir los perfiles de los trabajadores por género. Se observó el aumento de la escolaridad en las mujeres del sector, así como que siguen siendo ellas quienes mantienen los salarios más bajos. Para ambos géneros, aumentó el número de trabajadores sin contrato de trabajo, y por ende quienes se encuentran inmersos en el sector informal, según datos de la Encuesta Nacional de Ocupación y Empleo.
