Abstract

El turismo comunitario ha evolucionado a nivel mundial, al punto de convertirse en el principal generador de divisas para la potenciación de la economía de un determinado país, en este caso de la Amazonía ecuatoriana. Se diagnosticó el desempeño del turismo comunitario a través de la aplicación de encuestas de tipo cerradas. La muestra se seleccionó de manera intencional a 105 jefes de familia, por lo que técnicamente se considera una muestra no probabilística. Se concluye, las comunidades de la región amazónica tienen las condiciones para dinamizar el turismo comunitario, hace falta el apoyo de los gobiernos central y provincial.
