El desarrollo humano sostenible en los proyectos de turismo rural comunitario

Abstract

Pistishí es una parroquia rural localizada al sur del cantón Alausí, provincia de Chimborazo en Ecuador. Este territorio cuenta entre sus atractivos turísticos; la ruta arqueológica del “Qhapaq Ñan†y el sitio histórico ferroviario “Nariz del Diablo†, lo cual justificó en el año 2010 la realización del “Proyecto de Turismo Rural Comunitario Pistishí - Nariz del Diablo†. Se realizó una evaluación Ex-post del proyecto a partir del análisis y valoración de los 7 capitales (humano, social, natural, físico, financiero, cultural y político) que promueven el desarrollo humano sostenible. Se identificaron las interacciones entre los capitales a través de un Análisis de Componentes Principales (ACP) y se detectaron diferencias significativas entre las fases Ex-ante y Ex-post del proyecto. Este estudio presenta evidencia de que la implementación del proyecto turístico en Pistishí generó mejoras significativas en las condiciones de vida de los pobladores de la parroquia.
