Análisis situacional del agroturismo en el Cantón Salitre provincia del Guayas – Ecuador

Abstract

El presente artículo es un análisis situacional del agroturismo en el cantón Salitre, el cual forma parte del proyecto de investigación denominado “Creación de circuitos turísticos del cantón Salitre, provincia del Guayas†dirigido por la Facultad de Turismo y Hotelería de la Universidad Tecnológica Ecotec. Considerando que el agroturismo “consiste en viajar al campo o zonas rurales para aprender sobre prácticas tradicionales de cultivos, cosechas y procesamientos de productos agropecuarios, forestales y pesqueros, además de la artesanía y la cultura local†(Riveros y Blanco, 2003). En este sentido, el trabajo persigue analizar el agroturismo en el cantón y su importancia para la sostenibilidad y desarrollo local. Por último aportar puntos de referencia y orientaciones enfocadas al beneficio que brinda el turismo como sector prioritario (servicios) en la estrategia nacional de cambio de la matriz productiva del Ecuador, mediante visitas in situ a las haciendas y sitios inventariados del cantón y revisión bibliográfica para una mejor comprensión del trabajo.
