Abstract

El turismo es un fenómeno que puede ser observado sobre los contextos históricos, económico-administrativo, filosófico-socio-político y ambiental, además de otros que no están siendo privilegiados en este estudio. Estos contextos son interdependientes, interactúan y se complementan, sin embargo también se contradicen. En esta encrucijada, el objetivo es analizar el turismo como un fenómeno humano. Esto se justifica por la necesidad de tener en cuenta los intereses de las comunidades en el momento de tomar decisiones sobre directrices de políticas. En este sentido se pretende superar el punto de vista dominante de las ciencias sociales aplicadas, complementándola con las ciencias ambientales, resultando, a principios la ecosocioeconomia y su práctica bajo la denominación turismo de base comunitaria.
