Abstract

La incidencia del turismo británico en el archipiélago canario es de tal magnitud debido a que es uno de los principales mercados emisores de turistas para las islas. El análisis de los elementos que caracterizaron este turismo en el año 2013, constituye la finalidad de este trabajo; para ello se realizará un análisis descriptivo en el que se abordarán aspectos como la demanda del turismo británico en las islas, el perfil del turista británico y la caracterización de sus viajes, así como, la percepción que tienen sobre Canarias. De este modo, se aportará información útil para que, entre otros, los profesionales del sector turístico establezcan líneas estratégicas que ayuden a mejorar el servicio en las islas y atraer a un mayor número de turistas británicos al archipiélago.
