Determinaciã“N De Sitios De Interã‰S Para El Turismo Interno En La Isla San Cristã“Bal Galã Pagos

Abstract

El presente estudio estableció como objetivo principal la identificación de los sitios de interés para el turista ecuatoriano en la isla de San Cristóbal provincia de Galápagos - Ecuador, para determinar circuitos turísticos con base local. Para esto se utilizó el enfoque mixto de tipo documental, bibliográfico y de campo, desarrollando métodos teóricos y empíricos, aplicando herramientas como: fichas de observación, encuestas y entrevistas. En el año 2013 las islas Galápagos recibieron 204.395 visitantes de los cuales el 35 % fueron nacionales, arribando a la Isla San Cristóbal 22.167 visitantes ecuatorianos. De los 33 sitios de visitas propuestos en el Plan de Manejo del Parque Nacional Galápagos y la Reserva Biológica Marina, tan solo un 33,33% fueron reconocidos como atractivos turísticos de interés para el segmento estudiando; lo que infiere la necesidad de crear productos y servicios que sean de interés para este mercado, determinando variables que son imprescindibles reconocer en el momento del diseño, caracterización, comercialización del producto por las operadoras registradas y regularizadas en las islas. La determinación de circuitos de interés para el turismo interno, permitirá aprovechar los atractivos naturales, obras técnicas, arquitectónicas o artísticas de manera sostenible y sustentable, para quienes visiten la isla de San Cristóbal.
