Competitividad Turã Stica En Mã‰Xico

Abstract

México, es un país en vías de desarrollo que ha ocupado las primeras posiciones dentro del ranking mundial de turismo. Sus atractivos naturales y culturales lo hacen único y las acciones de diversas instituciones, han contribuido al aprovechamiento de tales atributos. En este artículo, se describen los esfuerzos realizados por México, para mejorar su nivel de competitividad turística, durante los años 2008-2015; así como, los factores que representen fortalezas, debilidades, oportunidades y amenazas. Los resultados, indican que México ha logrado mejorar sustancialmente ya que, tan solo en siete años avanzó 25 posiciones dentro del à ndice de Competitividad en Viajes y Turismo (ICVyT), elaborado y presentado por el World Economic Forum (WEF), esto gracias a la implementación de diversos planes y programas orientados a mejorar la calidad de los servicios turísticos, redituándole en un incremento de la afluencia de visitantes así como, su retorno dentro del ranking mundial del turismo.
