A Observação Participante Na Investigação Em Turismo

Abstract

Nas últimas décadas, o turismo passou por rápidas mudanças no enfoque da pesquisa. Essas mudanças estão especialmente relacionadas com duas questões: como investigamos e o que investigamos. Na área do turismo, como em todas as outras áreas, o investigador deve optar pelo método e técnicas de investigação que ele considera mais adequadas para o seu objeto de estudo. O presente artigo pretende analisar a importância da técnica da 'observação participante' para os estudos do turismo. Usou-se como suporte metodológico a revisão bibliográfica e recorreu-se a alguns estudos práticos para ilustrar o papel deste método de recolha de dados na investigação em turismo.
