Abstract

Un primer acercamiento a la teoría sobre el turismo desde la Economía Política y el Materialismo dialéctico e histórico. La aplicación del método histórico-lógico nos permite dar una definición científicamente fundamentada del fenómeno turismo. Nuestra definición arranca por establecer el origen del turismo, el momento histórico en que surge, las condiciones objetivas que provocan y permiten su aparición como nuevo fenómeno social, su principal sujeto, el turista, que no el único, así como los demás elementos principales que lo componen y su devenir en el tiempo hasta nuestros días.
