Abstract

En este artículo los resultados tratan sobre las competencias del directivo-líder. El objetivo general de esta ponencia es desarrollar el liderazgo sobre la base de las competencias, interpretando la dirección y el liderazgo como dos procesos complementarios, holísticos, sistémicos e integradores, determinando su utilización eficaz en la organización empresarial. Se han realizado múltiples estudios acerca de las cualidades que deben poseer los directivos, y en muchos casos adolecen del mal de fragmentar la actividad y de correlacionar cualidades aisladas con el éxito en la ejecución de las funciones directivas, por lo que es necesario al analizar los requisitos para la actividad de dirección, valorar al directivo con un carácter integral, esto es, valorar las competencias, y buscar posteriormente el desarrollo de cualidades y habilidades específicas, en correspondencia con las responsabilidades que va a asumir.
