Abstract

Es necesario mirar al futuro para esclarecer el presente, es precisamente ese el móvil que anima la prospectiva, la que permite analizar y crear alternativas para construir un proyecto de futuro, logrando enriquecer el presente con mejores decisiones. Resulta poco probable definir una estadística sobre el futuro. Con frecuencia, frente al porvenir, el único elemento de información disponible es el propio juicio personal (Godet, Michel; 2007), lo que explica el poco alcance de los modelos econométricos clásicos que no integran parámetros cualitativos, tales como los proyectos y el comportamiento de los actores. Esto resulta ser uno de los aspectos significativos de la prospectiva, la posibilidad de analizar variables cualitativas y cuantitativas asociadas a los casos de estudio específicos que se investiguen.
