Abstract

Este trabalho tem o propósito de trazer reflexões sobre a gestão de eventos empresariais e é resultado parcial de pesquisa empírica, de caráter exploratório, com formulação de quadro conceitual e teórico respaldado por levantamento bibliográfico nas áreas de turismo, hospitalidade e administração. O que é SMMP – Strategic Meetings Management Program? Este foi o problema identificado, que permitiu selecionar as variáveis “conceito de eventos empresariais”, “receita”, “modelos de gestão”. Consideraram-se os pressupostos de que é um segmento que existe e avança num cenário de produção de conhecimento extradisciplinar; gera um fluxo significativo de negócios e é passível de gestão nas organizações.
