La Evaluación De La Sostenibilidad Del Destino Turístico Arqueológico Desde La Perspectiva Integrada De La Economía, La Sociedad Y La Gestión

Abstract

En Canarias el estudio de la arqueología se establece como tal desde la mitad del siglo XIX; sin embargo, no será hasta 1985 cuando se traspasan las competencias a las Comunidades Autónomas cuando se empiece a realizar actividades de índole estrictamente patrimonial. Así, aunque desde 1985 se traspasan las competencias a las Comunidades Autónomas, no es hasta 1999 cuando se aprueba la Ley 4/1 999, de 15 de marzo, de Patrimonio Histórico de Canarias. Dicha ley asume el objetivo de “compatibilizar la preservación del patrimonio histórico con su disfrute como objeto cultural, sin perjuicio de su aprovechamiento como recurso económico”.
