Abstract

El turismo es uno de los motores impulsores del desarrollo en el mundo y cada año se suman a este servicio un número elevado de personas. Pero esta actividad humana provoca impactos en el entorno natural y se presenta la necesidad de analizar los costos de esta actividad sobre el medio ambiente. (C E P A L ,2001) Esto es necesario tenerlo en cuenta en el destino turístico “Jardines del Rey” de Ciego de Ávila, que constituye una de las ocho regiones con carácter priorizado de Cuba y abarca una superficie de 4321 km2 y de ellos 701km2 de cayos.
