COMENTARIOS SOBRE LA SATURACIÓN VISUAL: la paradoja de la mayoría

Abstract

O turismo, diferente de outras áreas, constitui-se de um ramo de atividades executadas por pessoas que, em determinadas situações, tornam-se turistas. Como a área de estudo, o turismo é recente e vem sendo matéria de pesquisa em diversos campos com mais tradição como a sociologia, a economia, a geografia, a psicologia, dentre outras. Principalmente pelo fato de ser um campo de estudo recente e também por ter seus estudiosos oriundos de diversas áreas, tornou-se algo com várias definições. Uma das primeiras foi elaborada por dois professores suíços, em 1942, Walter Hunzier e Kurt Krapt (2000, p.50 apud SANTOS, 2004, p. 14) “soma de fenômenos e relacionamentos que surgem das viagens e estadas de indivíduos não-residentes, na medida em que não visam a uma residência permanente e não são ligados a atividades remuneradas”.
