La movilidad urbana: notas para su discusión académica

Abstract

El presente artículo explora de forma breve el concepto de la movilidad urbana y las implicaciones para la gobernabilidad, el desarrollo y crecimiento de las ciudades medias. En él se definen algunos conceptos básicos para el entendimiento de la movilidad urbana, así como su origen en el contexto europeo, se destaca de forma general el tema a partir de algunas acciones implementadas en las zonas metropolitanas de México, así como en la entidad de San Luis Potosí y en el caso particular de Ciudad Valles se anotan algunas acciones emprendidas por los gobiernos locales. Finalmente, el ensayo define algunas conclusiones en torno a la temática de estudio.
