La experiencia del médico de la familia en el municipio de Fomento (1984-1990)

Abstract

En Cuba la Salud es uno de los principales retos de la Revolución, con la prevención y correcta atención de la misma se garantiza mejores estilos de vida en el hombre. La extraordinaria idea de Fidel de la creación del Programa del Médico de la familia es elemental en la atención primaria de la salud tanto que pudo resistir los embates del periodo especial, sobre esta temática versa esta investigación que se propone como objetivo: Caracterizar el proceso de surgimiento y desarrollo en el programa del médico de la familia en el municipio de Fomento. Se utiliza la entrevista a docentes y estudiantes y el análisis documental. Las conclusiones más relevantes afirman que los cambios y transformaciones realizados en el Sistema de Salud Cubano han favorecidos los estilos de vida lo que se demuestra en la evolución del mismo y la inserción del médico de la familia como una de las mejores experiencias de la salud en Cuba.
