La Universidad De Las Ciencias Informáticas Como Parque Científico Tecnológico En El Contexto Cubano Actual

Abstract

El surgimiento de los Parques Científicos Tecnológicos como nueva forma para generar innovación y desarrollo, ha traído consigo que muchos apuesten por ellos para impulsar la productividad y el desarrollo económico. La Universidad de las Ciencias Informáticas fundada en 2002 como parte de una iniciativa gubernamental, propone un modelo de nuevo tipo en Cuba. En ella se relacionan Universidad, Centros de Desarrollo de Software y Grupos de Investigación, formando un círculo de desarrollo constante, beneficioso para todas las partes involucradas. El objetivo de la presente investigación es hacer una comparación del funcionamiento de la Universidad con un Parque en el contexto cubano actual, desde una visión crítica. Teniendo en cuenta que a escala internacional no puede ser visto aún como tal por la brecha tecnológica existente entre los países desarrollados y los subdesarrollados. Durante la investigación se demostró que el novedoso modelo propuesto por la institución puede ser ampliamente comparable con el de un Parque Científico Tecnológico. Además se detectaron los principales retos que se deben asumir para lograr colocarla como un Parque.
