Abstract

La Universidad Autónoma de San Luis Potosí (UASLP) es una institución de labrado prestigio y sólida trayectoria. Dispuesta a enfrentar las diversas tensiones sociales, económicas, políticas y educativas, se ha propuesto dar respuesta a una sociedad cada vez más demandante de espacios para acceder a la educación superior en su entorno. Una de sus estrategias más exitosas ha sido diversificar su oferta educativa con la apertura de carreras pertinentes para cada uno de los espacios y regiones en las cuales tiene presencia. Este es el caso de la Licenciatura en Gestión y Políticas Públicas (LGPP), aprobada en 2007 por el H. Consejo Directivo Universitario de la UASLP, para impartirse en la Unidad Académica Multidisciplinaria Zona Huasteca (UAMZH) con sede en Ciudad Valles, S. L. P.; programa educativo que ha evolucionado a través de diversos retos y que enfrenta desafíos que habrán de culminar con su consolidación.
