El Viaje Como Constructor Epistemologico En Las Ciencias Sociales

Abstract

Históricamente, los viajes han sido empleados por las ciencias sociales para construir escenarios que de otra manera serían difíciles de crear, la historia ha usado a la crónica de viajeros como fuente primaria de generación de conocimiento. No obstante, la ruptura se da con el advenimiento de la Escuela de Sociología Americana que observa que el viaje moderno, por turístico, no puede ser un mecanismo generador de conocimiento. En perspectiva, el presente ensayo no solo explora las raíces del viaje etnológico, y sus posibilidades de producir identidad, sino también, su contralor el viaje turístico.
