Abstract

Actualmente, en la industria del acero, no está aprobada una metodología de fabricación para elaborar probetas de 1plg, obtenidas de una barra de acero 1045, las que se sometan a un tratamiento térmico con el novedoso método de enfriamiento a base de concentraciones de hidróxido de calcio (cal alimenticia) para llevar a cabo un estudio. Mediante este estudio se comparó la relación que tienen los métodos tradicionales de temple (aceite, agua y salmuera) con la forma experimental de temple a base de hidróxido de calcio; a través del proceso de observación del comportamiento de la dureza en su estado alfa y gama para demostrar que este método experimental es factible para su implementación en los tratamientos térmicos dentro de la industria.
