Abstract

La Ingeniería Industrial es una de las carreras con mayor demanda en nuestro país, uno de sus principales objetivos es la optimización de los procesos, actualmente la industria transita por la cuarta revolución industrial con cambios trascendentales en los conceptos de manufactura, predominando la implementación de sistemas automatizados y la robótica, lo que implica que los egresados deben conocer y saber implementar las últimas actualizaciones de los equipamientos y tecnologías aplicadas en los sistemas productivos. Partiendo de estos hechos, se decidió realizar un estudio preliminar para identificar la pertinencia de los programas educativos de algunas instituciones de educación superior que ofrecen la carrera en nuestro país, con el propósito de conocer que peso curricular le dan a los conceptos de automatización y robótica, encontrando que solo se ofrecen dos materias relativas a éstos conceptos.
