Costumbres y creencias antiguas de la Huasteca

Abstract

Las costumbres y creencias, así como la historia de la cultura huasteco mayanse, tiende a desaparecer por la discriminación que sufren los tének y por la culturización occidental de esta zona del país. Por ello, surge el objetivo de realizar una recopilación de costumbres y leyendas, para intentar preservar esta información y apropiar de la misma a los habitantes de la huasteca. Se elabora este trabajo documentando con los trabajos de Joaquín Meade, la Maestra Oralia Gutiérrez y otros autores, así como la recopilación de información de personas tének. Como resultado, se obtiene este documento que nos habla de algunos aspectos de las creencias, costumbres e historia de esta etnia. Con esta compilación se puede concluir que es necesario sumar esfuerzos para rescatar el conocimiento, historia y creencias y dar a conocer estas informaciones entre los jóvenes tének para empoderarlos y hacerlos sentir orgullosos de preservar su lengua y su cultura.
