Diseño y construcción de un sistema de compresión de biogás

Abstract

En este trabajo se diseñó y construyó un sistema de compresión de biogás purificado, a fin de facilitar su manejo (transporte y almacenamiento) y asegurar su valor energético para un uso óptimo como combustible en el futuro. El sistema se construyó con la adaptación y conexión de un compresor de ½ HP, un manómetro de alta y baja presión y un presostato. Se realizaron las conexiones del sistema de purificación al sistema de compresión, y a la vez del sistema de compresión al cilindro o tanque de gas al que se almacenaría el biogás. Para la comprobación del funcionamiento del sistema diseñado, se utilizó un tanque de almacenamiento con capacidad de 19.2 l, alcanzándose en promedio una presión máxima de 4 kg/cm2 y una masa de biogás contenida en el tanque de 0.48295 kg una temperatura de trabajo de 31°C y con un tiempo total del proceso de 1.0422 hr.
