Análisis del precio de ganado bovino contra indicadores económicos y precio de insumos (2000-2016)

Abstract

La estructura de mercado en la ganadería bovina ha pasado de una de competencia monopolística a otra con características de oligopsonio. El objetivo de este análisis es responder al productor ganadero de la Huasteca, la pregunta: ¿Los precios del becerro en pie le han restado poder adquisitivo al sector ganadero? Para lograr el objetivo del análisis, se han recolectado los precios a nivel productor ganadero de diferentes bienes como el becerro en pie e insumos que adquiere para realizar la actividad ganadera, desde el año 2000 al 2016. Por otro lado, se colectaron indicadores económicos como el Índice Nacional de Precios al Consumidor (INPC) y otros; posteriormente con el uso del programa estadístico SPSS, se transformaron las series a base uno para el período de enero de 2000 y se analiza su comportamiento gráfico por 17 años. Los resultados indican que el precio del becerro en pie se ha incrementado de manera paralela con el INPC hasta el 2012 y a partir de ahí el precio ha aumentado más que proporcionalmente. En conclusión, esta situación ha favorecido a los productores de ganado bovino para carne de la Huasteca.
