Desafíos al formar conciencia e identidad terrenal en la enseñanza de la ingeniería industrial

Abstract

En los últimos años hemos presenciado la transformación de las sociedades en el mundo entero, novedosas innovaciones forman parte de la evolución del planeta y de la vida cotidiana. Es común escuchar que es importante cuidar el medio ambiente; por todos lados surge información referente, pero que tanto estamos comprometidos y preparados para contribuir formando conciencia terrenal. En reciente capacitación sobre filosofía de la Educación, estudiamos a Edgar Morín y sus 7 saberes necesarios para la educación del futuro (Morín, 1999), siendo uno de ellos Enseñar la identidad terrenal, como sostiene Morín, educar para un pensamiento capaz de crear conciencia de la era planetaria, es el gran reto de los educadores. En el Instituto Tecnológico de Ciudad Valles, así como en muchas instituciones del país se forman Ingenieros Industriales, quienes por su perfil de egreso habrán de hacer frente a los desafíos del mundo tecnológico y global. Surge el cuestionamiento de que tanto se está orientando la enseñanza del cuidado del planeta en su proceso de formación. Por tal motivo se realiza una investigación de tipo exploratorio a egresados de la carrera, y se realiza un análisis curricular sobre contenidos de las asignaturas, destacando la importancia que como seres vivos dependemos de la biosfera terrestre.
