Perfil deseable PRODEP: una estrategia para el fortalecimiento institucional

Abstract

El Perfil Deseable del Programa para el Desarrollo Profesional Docente (PRODEP) es uno de los indicadores de capacidad académica que refleja el grado de profesionalización de la plantilla docente, requerido por el Tecnológico Nacional de México (TNM), casas evaluadoras como CIEES e instancias acreditadoras como CACECA y CACEI. Sin duda, cuando se habla de evaluación al desempeño docente se tiene que hacer referencia al número de profesores(as) con reconocimiento de perfil deseable con los que cuenta una IES. Por lo anterior, el ITCV socializa la estrategia que ha servido para incrementar el número de docentes con este reconocimiento denominada Taller Perfil Deseable PRODEP. No es una actividad únicamente de capacitación limitada a un periodo de tiempo con objetivos exclusivos de incremento de indicadores, sino que, es un proceso de acompañamiento donde hay un acercamiento del programa al docente, dotándolo de herramientas que facilitan su participación hasta el logro del reconocimiento. Desde otro ángulo de visión, el Perfil Deseable PRODEP prepara al profesor(a) para continuar ejerciendo su profesión docente de una manera organizada, con una productividad pertinente y en un camino de superación académica constante, semejándose a un mapa que guía hacia el mérito y el fortalecimiento institucional.
