Mirando el final para poder iniciar la estrategia - El Balanced Scorecard (BSC) orientado a la estrategia

Abstract

Es necesario en estos tiempos de feroz competencia de los mercados y de la customización de los productos (bienes y/o servicios y atención preferencial a los clientes) que todas las organizaciones, sin importar su tamaño, tengan un plan estratégico para lograr los resultados planteados al inicio de un periodo; pero en casi todos los casos estas estrategias quedan como un simple documento que se archiva y no se llega a conocer y, lo que es peor aún, los objetivos y metas se plantean sin tener en claro cuál es el final al que realmente se quiere llegar. Robert Kaplan y David Norton, creadores del Balanced Scorecard, nos facilitan la tarea a través de sus mapas de estrategia, para convertir bienes intangibles en resultados tangibles; pero para ello debemos romper el paradigma y mirar primero el final para poder iniciar el proceso estratégico.
