Abstract

Este artículo analiza la situación estratégica del Paraguay como Estado a la luz del nuevo escenario global y regional. Para ello pone énfasis analítico en la relación de poder con los demás miembros del Mercosur, y las alternativas de alianzas más allá del bloque. Se postula la necesidad de una verdadera cooperación regional que tenga como pilares constitutivos las nociones de democracia, desarrollo y seguridad.
