Abstract

En el presente trabajo el lector encontrará información relacionada con la importancia de la formación axiológica para el desarrollo sociocultural de Latinoamérica. Se analizan algunos factores socio espirituales y tendencias epocales que condicionan el desarrollo axiológico del ser humano actual. También se explican los roles familiar y educacional en la formación ciudadana. Se retoman y enriquecen dos de los “Seis objetivos de educación para todos a alcanzar el año 2015†, para advertir sobre la problemática del analfabetismo, la equidad social y la enseñanza unisex en el continente. Finalmente, se aborda la necesidad regional de crear nuevos horizontes educativos enfocados en eliminar las brechas sociales existentes, haciendo de la educación en un derecho inalienable, impostergable y de amplio acceso.
