Fundamentos de la resiliencia del transporte urbano en América Latina. Caso estudio Zona metropolitana de Toluca

Abstract

Las principales ciudades de América Latina, han sufrido un proceso de centralización de actividades económicas industriales y terciarias, lo que ocasionó un crecimiento demográfico acelerado en las ciudades centrales, lo anterior implico una ampliación explosiva de la ciudad, específicamente se empezó a invadir tierras periféricas para la ocupación de actividades socioeconómicas, como resultado de este proceso se incrementaron los recorridos de distancia y por ende la necesidad de ampliar la red de transporte público, lo que conlleva a un deficiente servicio en la periferia urbana de la Zona Metropolitana de Toluca.
