Alternativas agroecológicas para el control y manejo de arvenses en competencia específica con el cultivo de maíz (Zea mays L.)

Abstract

La investigación estuvo dirigida a la determinación, identificación de las principales arvenses, que afectan al desarrollo del cultivo de maíz. Para el proceso de determinación de malezas se utilizó dos procesos: colecta en campo e identificación en laboratorio. La colecta de campo fue realizada en parcelas de 1 m2 por hectárea en cada finca evaluada y el proceso de identificación a través de análisis morfológico con plantillas de identificación utilizadas por ALAM, con esto se logró determinar diferentes grupos de malezas. La evaluación de competencia fue realizada con seguimiento a los cultivos sembrados en la zona y la medición del rendimiento a cosecha. Entre las especies dominantes se encontraron: Cyperus rotundus L., Bidens pilosa L., Cynodon dactylon (L.) Pers. y Chloris polydatyla (L.) Swartz.
