Museos en la periferia. Arte y educación en el museo de arte moderno de Tarragona

Abstract

Un elemento central de la actividad de los centros de arte contemporáneo es la dimensión educativa, y vinculada a ella aparece la cuestión de la comunicación de esta estrategia. El caso del Museo de Arte Moderno de Tarragona es un fantástico ejemplo de cómo un museo pequeño y situado fuera de los circuitos de los grandes centros de arte contemporáneo desarrolla una estrategia de comunicación con el público muy eficaz para difundir sus actividades de educación artística. Este trabajo analiza la estrategia educativa de este museo, destacando cómo ha establecido canales de comunicación con el exterior muy dinámicos.
