Transformações no espectro ideológico latino-americano: comparação dos significados de esquerda nas propostas eleitorais do Chile e Uruguai

Abstract

O presente estudo se propôs a analisar as transformações nos significados das ideologias políticas de mandatos democráticos do Chile e do Uruguai. A investigação foi feita comparando programas de governo apresentados pelos candidatos chilenos Patricio Aylwin, candidato do Concertación de Partidos por la Democracia, em 1989, e Michelle Bachelet, candidata do Partido Socialista, em 2013, e do uruguaio Tabaré Vázquez, candidato do Frente Amplio nas eleições de 2000 e 2005, realizando uma análise comparativa e diacrônica entre os significados ideológicos de esquerda presentes nos programas. O trabalho concluiu que os representantes das esquerdas chilena e uruguaia ressignificaram o seu discurso em direção à direita para conseguir lograr êxito nas respectivas eleições.
