Abstract

La historia social de Manzanillo en las primeras décadas de vida republicana, aporta elementos históricos novedosos a partir de un enfoque de la microhistoria, explorado desde la cotidianidad y constituye una vía para el conocimiento de este proceso. Algunos de los estudios realizados de la historia social registran la mirada hacia regiones específicas poco abordadas en la historiografía cubana, los que revisten gran significación en tanto revelan el surgimiento de las peculiaridades de cada sociedad y a su vez, donde germina la historia local, a la que se debe conceder mayor connotación y sistematización para lograr un estudio totalizador de la Historia de Cuba, lo que le permitirá comprender con mayor profundidad lo que acontece en el territorio nacional.
