Conductas de riesgo en el adulto mayor en situación de abandono de Portoviejo-Manabí-Ecuador

Abstract

El abandono y soledad es para muchos adultos mayores una realidad social que enfrentan por parte de familiares, amigos, vecinos; situación que puede desencadenar en conductas de riesgo (pensamiento suicida y depresión). Objetivos: Identificar las características sociales y demográficas del adulto mayor, Analizar las conductas de riesgo en el adulto mayor en situación de abandono y soledad en el Centro Gerontológico Guillermina Loor de Moreno y Fundación Cristo Rey. Método: Se utilizó un diseño no experimental, tipo descriptivo de corte transversal de carácter cuantitativo; la muestra de estudio está representada por la población total de 76 adultos mayores, distribuido (37) 51,3% Centro Gerontológico Guillermina Loor de Moreno y (39) 48,7% Fundación Cristo Rey. Las investigadoras elaboraron un cuestionario sociodemográfico y usaron varias escalas.
