El turismo, capital social y valor agregado de esmeraldas

Abstract

El turismo en el Ecuador, es uno de las fuentes de ingreso económico para sus habitantes, en la provincia de Esmeraldas, es el principal rubro del cual se benefician el 70% de la población, el resto se dedica a la agricultura, al servicio público, al comercio informal (que también se nutre del turismo) y otras actividades económicas. El presente trabajo de revisión bibliográfica, se centra en el significado del potencial que representa Esmeraldas para la región y el país y con más profundidad. El turismo, llamado la industria sin chimenea, mueve la economía mundial, dependiendo de su promoción, desarrollo y puesta en ejecución de los los planes para que se realicen las visitas respectivas a los lugares de destino. La metodología utilizada fue la revisión bibliográfica y análisis de contenido, revisando 18 artículos relevantes para el tema, en función de la importancia del turismo. Las conclusiones fueron halagadoras, en tanto hay que seguir promocionando las bondades y atractivos turísticos de la zona, para que esta actividad no decaiga y siga siendo una fuente de ingresos sustentable.
